Abstract:

As global warming worsens, carbon dioxide emissions control technology attracts more and more attention. This paper introduces the development of carbon dioxide capture, utilization and storage technology in domestic and oversea countries. Then give main attention and evaluation to the technology of carbon dioxide capture using aqueous ammonia solution, carbon dioxide storage by mineralization, and a novel process integrating carbon dioxide capture with mineralization. The integrative process is a promising technology to overcome the barriers of high energy penalty and low efficiency, and produce high value byproducts to decrease the cost of CCS.
